LIONS CLUB OF CALOUNDRA Inc

PROJECTS

During the previous year 3700 hours of service were accumulated by members.
These hours were the result of participating in over 30 projects throughout the year - A tremendous effort.
Most of the hours were spent helping local community groups raise funds for the benefit of people in the community.

  • Used Spectacles Collection -

  • A VERY worthwhile ongoing project has Lion Don Luff reponsible for the collection of used, out of personally usable range, prescription spectacles.
While these have little value in our affluent society, they are priceless to third world citizens with failing eyesight.
So don't add to the growing landfil - Ring Don on 5491 5165 and contribute to the better life style of a less advantaged third world citizen.

  • Barbeques & Food Preparation -
    Caloundra City School
    Caloundra State School
    World's Biggest BBQ
    Outrigger Canoe Club Open Day
    Camp Quality Fundraiser
    Australia Day Celebration
  • Lions Xmas Cakes
  • Youth of the Year
  • Bribie Island Lions Park Maintenance
  • Caloundra Market Stalls
  • Recycled Spectacles Collection
  • Working Bees
  • Clean-Up-Australia Day

Here are some shots of the Caloundra Market Stalls

For those of you NOT using the Firefox browser my opinion is that you should check it out. It is "Free" and comes with many easily configurable ad-on features to customise your web browsing experience. The biggest advantages are it is a faster and much more secure browser. It prevents most popup ads, viruses and other nasties common with Internet Explorer. Check it out Here.
