Caloundra Coast Guard
CALOUNDRA COAST GUARD MEMORIAL WALL
The Caloundra Coast Guard and the Caloundra City Council,
have created a Memorial WALL on Caloundra headland, (Wickham Pt.) adjacent to the famous Centaur Memorial.
This wall is to provide a permanent display in memory of citizens whose ashes have been scattered by the Coast Guard or others, at sea.
We believe this peaceful location is very appropriate site to honour the memory of your departed loved ones.
Please be patient - because of the photos this page may take a while to load.

A view of the newly constructed wall shows it's 9M x 0.8M size
Our motivation to establish this wall was as a service to our community.
We have for many years performed Scattering Ceremonies for bereaved families whose departed member had some affinity with the ocean.
They have often lamented the lack of a permanent marker for the family.
To address this heartfelt shortcoming, to provide a service to our own members and as a fundraising exercise to help us to continue our education and rescue service, we have gained Caloundra City Council approval and support for the facility as a service to all citizens.
That gives you a brief glimpse of our Memorial Wall.
